Siren Star Enterprises Inc., announces Skin on Skin a Fashion Film, written and directed by Lorelei Shellist will have its’ North American Premiereat the Coronado Island Film Festival on Saturday, November 10, at 7:00 p.m., in the “Doc Shorts B” at the Black Box Theater at the Coronado School of the Arts located at 650 D Avenue, in Coronado, California. After the screening of Skin on Skin at the Coronado Island Film Festival, Lorelei will participate in a filmmaker Q and A with the audience.

SKIN ON SKIN is a short docu-drama about a runaway girl who chases her dreams to see the world. International fashion runways become her ticket as she becomes part of the magic behind the scenes of the private world of Haute Couture as a model/muse to the most iconic fashion designers in the world; Lagerfeld at Chanel, YSL, Ungaro, Armani and Bob Mackie. Skin on Skin shares the essence of what happens under the skin as the realities of a jet set life take their toll. Surviving a broken heart, she loses her fist love, (fiancé, late rock icon guitarist, Steve Clark from multi-platinum rock band Def Leppard,) at the height of their careers. Young Lorelei, soldiers beyond the pitfalls of a glamorous life, returning home to Hollywood and becomes a fashion designer in her own right. Travel with her as she explores her dreams with perseverance, beauty, and courage. A resonating story that inspires you to follow your own heart.
SKIN ON SKIN includes authentic, vintage VHS film footage from Lorelei’s own video archives, runway fashion shows, (circa 1980’s, Paris, France,) and behind the scenes footage of Def Leppards’ Hysteria World Tour 1987-1989 original music composed by Peitor Angell – with musical contribution “Switch 625”written by Steve Clark of Def Leppard.

The festival gathers makers and lovers of movies in the unique seaside location of Coronado California, to share and celebrate the magical art of visual storytelling.
Skin on Skin is written and directed by Lorelei Shellist. Lorelei Shellist brings new meaning to the definition of “supermodel.” Having been a graceful and spirited muse for Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Lacroix, Bob Mackie, Geoffrey Beene, Giorgio Armani, and fashion illustrator Antonio Lopez… Lorelei received first-hand experience on how to bring art and dreams to life from many of the world’s most revered designers. In her memoir, “Runway Runaway: A Backstage Pass to Fashion, Romance & Rock ‘n Roll, ” Lorelei inspires with her perseverance, determination, survival skills, and wit. Shellist serves others as an author, producer, speaker, Fashion Icon Archetypes™ founder, image consultant and inner beauty empowerment coach.
Beyond the runway, Lorelei has appeared internationally in films, TV, commercials, and print, and is a singer/songwriter. She holds degrees from the Masters’ programs in Spiritual Psychology and Consciousness, Health, and Healing from the University of Santa Monica, and is a graduate of Alison Armstrong’s “PAX Programs: Peace Between Men and Women.” In addition, she is a facilitating counselor with the Freedom to Choose Foundation 501(c)(3), working with inmates at Valley State Prison for Women in Chowchilla, and the California Institute for Women in Chino Ca. Her own non-profit organization, I AM Dreams With Wings, teaches critical life skills to at-risk teens for class credit. Lorelei also offers two scholarships at Mesa College in San Diego. The Shellist Music Scholarship provides a full tuition for vocational students of music, with the Runway Runaway Fashion Design Scholarship designated for students in fashion.
Recently Lorelei designed her own fashion brand label, the Runway Runaway Collection® featuring her Signature wardrobe staple The Dream Dress® featured in Skin on Skin. “For the Woman on the run – who thrives in her skin!”
