Friend --
This Thursday I am giving a lecture at Dartmouth College, and I wanted
to invite you to attend.
http://fixcongressfirst.org/Dartmouth
This is part of a series of talks on campuses across the country aimed
at building a grassroots movement to achieve citizen-funded elections in
the United States.
Our democracy is in crisis. Special interest money dominates Washington,
creating the impression that votes in Congress are bought and sold with
millions of dollars in campaign cash. My lecture will illustrate the
connection between special interest money and critical policy decisions,
and it will explain why past promises of reform have gone nowhere.
What we need is a movement of the people, a way forward that brings
together citizens of all backgrounds who are fed up with the economy of
influence in Washington. Thursday's lecture will show what such a
movement looks like -- and how it will finally achieve an electoral
system in which our leaders are accountable to no one but the people.
Here are the details for the lecture:

If concerned citizens come together with a firm commitment to change the
way politics works, I know we can achieve citizen-funded elections
throughout the country.
I hope to see you Thursday to discuss how we get there.
